South African music star and anti-apartheid icon Yvonne Chaka Chaka met with Bobi Wine in Ghana at the Africa Music Awards and immediately endorsed him, saying the youthful singer and politician will bring hope and healing to Uganda.
“I’m very happy to meet Bobi Wine here in Ghana and i want to convey this important message, to let him know that we in South Africa appreciate his struggle and we totally support him,” Chaka Chaka said.
“We have heard so many bad things about Uganda- the corruption, police brutality, dictatorship, tear gas, electoral fraud and i think if Ugandans want to put an end to all such problems, they should look at the future and not the past. The older generation have failed to solve Uganda’s problems and the only hope we have now is the youth. ”
Bobi Wine also addressed the youth in Ghana and also spoke to a group of influential Ghanaian politicians who congratulated him on his good works.
